Hi, my name is Adrian! I am a first-year PhD student in the
Human-centered Computing program at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I work with Dr. Andrea Parker in the Wellness Technology Lab.
My research is focused on designing technologies to enhance social capital within low socioeconomic communities and racial/ethnic minority groups as a means of supporting existing community development work in the United States. I am also interested in how technology can improve health outcomes among gang youth, who often face social and health challenges that are unique to their life experiences.
Prior to pursuing a PhD, I completed a Masters of Health Informatics and B.S. in Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan. In my spare time, you'll find me in the kitchen practicing my cooking skills or making a nice cup of pour-over coffee.
